Shoebox Cards

This week we were supposed to bring all the items to make a card in a shoebox which we passed around to make each card. It didn't work exactly like that but we did get a lot done! The lounge chair is die cut from photo paper to look plastic in my "Escape" card. This card relaxes me to just look at it!

Shaped Cards

Thought we would try some shaped cards this week. Marti was anxious to try the Elizabeth Craft House Pivot Card and All Seasons Tree dies that cut a cute patchwork house, trees, garden, fence and bushes. It took a long time to cut all of the tiny pieces but it was worth it! It would make a great New Home Congratulations card, which is exactly what Susan made hers into! (with house number and "sold" sign).  I had cut some Silhouette Gift Shaped Cards for everyone to put together.

Alcohol Inks

Lil got us interested in trying alcohol ink designs. Marti stocked up on some glossy paper and all of us purchased some alcohol inks. Below are our designs. Not bad for newbies!

Things That Go!

Theme for this week was "Things That Go"...so we all came up with something different! Planes and bikes were the order of the day! Old time bike is stamp from Stampin'Up Feeling Sentimental set. Plane was punch art with embossed cloud background.

Crop Weekend!

The first weekend of March was Scrapbook Expo in Orlando. Each year we attend as a group, shop all day and then return home to crop the weekend away! This year, Lil taught alcohol ink, Bonnie did some ironing/embossing techniques, and Paula had a calendar project for all! Lots of cards we created! I only wish we had done some scrapbooking! Hoping to get back to that soon!  Everyone brought a salad for our "Salad Bar". It was a creative and fun weekend!

With Sympathy

We all decided that unfortunately we had used all of our sympathy cards. We whipped some up some embossing, gray paper and the new Stampin'Up butterfly die.
