Open Sea and Pig Pickin' Cake

Everyone was working hard at the meeting today. Marti had made a bunch of Stampin'Up "The Open Sea" nautical cards at home this week. Have lots to share with you. Robbie brought snack today which was "Pig Pickin' Cake". Had never heard of it but it was delicious.

Cards that ScrapRx members have made over the last few months.

Simply floral embossed birthday card
Embossed anniversary card
 Embossed fish and background

Anniversary card made to match gift bag
 Wild about you!
 Happy Birthday Riley!
The next three Marge made with the Tim Holtz "Rays" embossing folder

Mason Jar card filled with buttons Robbie made.
The last two were cards for my grandaughter's 17th bday. She likes all things ocean. A friend gave me the Cardstock pad by Creative Imaginations Beach Cottage and the mermaid was perfect for her card. I accented it with some flowers which are hard to see.
Paige, my 9 year old grandaughter made this one for her sister.

Mouse Cards

Robbie was playing with the Mickey punches working on cards and invites for her grandaughter's 2nd birthday. So, we all joined in to do some Mickey creations.

I also came up with a Mickey/Minnie wedding card for my nephew and his new wife that I was quite proud of!

Patriotic Cards

It was a Patriotic workshop yesterday. The first card we did was one I designed utilizing the new Stampin'Up "Simply Stars" stamp set, a retired 2001 Special Edition Stampin'up "God Bless America" stamp, the Stampin'Up "Stripes" Embossing Folder, Midnight Muse Ink and cardstock, and Real Red Ink and cardstock.

Then, I told the girls that they needed to design their own patriotic cards using a sketch I provided. They complained (loudly) but they did a great job!. All used the same star stamps but different embellishments, embossing folders, punches and greetings.

Masculine Cards

We really needed to work on masculine birthday cards today since Marti had given her 30something year old son a Butterfly card for his recent birthday. For the first one, Marti used the Stampin'Up "The Open Sea" stamp set and a variety of red, white and blue paper and baker's twine

The next two I did with Stampin'Up's "By the Tide" stamp set and the new Artisan Label Punch.

Robbie worked on some embossed Western boot cards.

This last one Marge did...one she had started last meeting and topped it off  today. Not really a masculine card but it is blue! It is accented with the Blossom punch and Mixed Bunch stamp set.
