Convention Weekend

We had a ball this weekend. Lil flew in from MA and we all went to the Memories Expo in Orlando at the Gaylord Palms. I must say that the exhibition floor is not what it used to be but it was still fun...and of course we all found stuff that we "needed". Then, we cropped for the rest of the weekend, laughed a lot, ate a lot and had a wonderful time. We even did some dancing!  Hey Ya!
One goal of the weekend was to use the Quint-Essential Flower stamp and the 5 punches it requires to make layered flowers. It was a lot of fun picking out the colors to stack. In the end, I think we all agreed that they looked the best with just two alternating colors. Here are some examples of what we did with the stamp. Marti even added bling to hers.

Lil MADE us try Baker's Twine lollipops. It took a while to get the hang of it but once you are patient winding the twine it went well. We punched 1 3/4inch circles out of cardstock and covered the circle with permanent adhesive. Starting at the center, the twine was attached by turning the circle and sticking it down as you worked outward. They were a lot of fun to make. Even had to make a quick trip to Michaels for the lollipop sticks!

Graduation will soon be here and I needed some graduation cards. I had purchased some paper (sorry don't know the brand) which had circles with diplomas and caps in them. I punched out the circles, added some scalloped circles, and used them as the focus for the cards. The Embossing folder is Simply Charmed by Cuttlebug.

I had downloaded some silhouettes for the Silhouette (got that Marti). Decided to try this one with the little girl and a butterfly. The paper is called "Pink Blossom" by Shoebox. I had picked it up at the convention. Added some silhouette butterflies and loved the card. Margie tried it with a different paper and turned the silhouette in the opposite direction..hers came out beautiful too.

Last one was a pretty embossing folder that Lil brought which I just added some daisies to. Her embossing folders are packed to ship home so I will add the name of it later.

Get Well Workshop

Today's workshop was a "Get Well" theme. We did two cards. The first was utilizing the Stampin' Up "Oh Whale" stamp and Die sets from the Spring Catalog. It also used the Cupcake Builder and Word Window punches and Darice "Beach Waves" embossing folder.
The second card was done using the "Patterned Occasion" Stampin'Up Saleabration Stampset bandaid and Sizzix "Love Set" embossing folders.

Easter Continued

Lil sent me a cute punchart Easter bunny card which I wanted to share too. This bunny just made me smile!

I decided to try the candy butterflies and flowers punched with the Blossom punch. The flowers were punched out of baby chick cardstock and the butterflies were stamped with Mixed Bunch Stampin'Up stamps. I arranged them all on my Easter table runner around the Easter Basket centerpiece.

Paula tried her hand making an Easter Bunny bread. It came out fabulous!

More Easter Cards

Marti made some Easter Cards with her grandaughter Kelsey, who is a very enthusiastic card maker and scrapbooker.

Easter Cards

Had great fun creating Easter cards this year. Some were my interpretation of various Punchart and Pinterest designs. The first are ones I made using a Silhouette basket and chocolate bunny on several embossed cards.(Stampin'Up framed tulips embossing folder came out the nicest)  I even embossed the eggs and the basket. Grass in baskets is made with the Martha Stewart branch punch.

Next are the Bunny Hole cards. Emossed the front with a woodgrain embossing folder. Then, the bunny parts (butt outside and head inside) were punched with Stampin'Up punches. These were Pinterest inspired and a lot of fun to do!

The last was made with the Tulip Embossing Folder and sanded yellow Coreordination paper. Added a bit of fancy lace and a religious Easter verse inside for a beautiful card for my aunt.

Workshop Baby Cards

Held my second workshop today. Theme was baby cards. The first used the Stampin' Up stamp "Two by Two". Everyone was so quiet while coloring in their arks with colored pencils! Background is embossed with the Darice Embossing folder "Beach Waves". Also used the SU Modern Label punch and Baker's Twine.
The second card was made with a retired Stampin' Up set called "Baby Firsts" and the Sizzix Embossing Folder "Beaded Ribbons". Accent was made with the Stampin' Up "Ciao Baby" stamp set and SU 7/8inch and 1 1/4inch scalloped circle punches.
