My eight year old grandaughter, Paige loves to do crafts. Yearly, just before Christmas she comes over to make some personal Christmas creations for the family. This year, she did three different craft projects and helped bake cookies too! Clearly, she enjoyed the crafts the most. All three projects were Pinterest inspired with adaptations made to them. We hope you enjoy them. (Paige is pretty excited to be showcased on the blog and Pinterest too!)
The first project was Hershey Bar Snowmen. These involved punching, stamping, embossing, gluing, and cutting. The hats were cut on my Silhouette. Then, Paige decided that they needed to be embossed and went about embossing the hats and the stripes with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Cuttlebug "Swirls" folder. The scarves were strips cut from a red/white swirled piece of felt which I picked up at Joanne's. Scalloped circles were 2". The stamps used for the faces, snowflakes and text "Let it snow" were from the StampinUp retired "Cold Play" set. She is an excellent rubber stamper and didn't even mess one up! Here is the finished product.
Now for Paige's step by step pictoral guide.

Christmas Kits from a friend
Lil made up some 'kits' for the group and I brought them back with me. Yesterday, we put most of them together. There were some beautiful embossed Christmas cards and tags. Marti and Robbie had a bit of a problem with the 'darn little pieces'...but they got them done. Thanks Lil! We love them!

Hurricane Crafting
I recently visited Lil in MA and Hurricane Sandy followed me up there. We spent the time making tags and cards. These are some of what we did.
The first is an embossed Cricut ornament tag. The angels were from a cardmaking kit that Lil had but you could also cut images from old Christmas cards. They are holding stars punched from glittered cardstock. Lil had the perfect gold cord to finish them off!~
Combined a Cricut penguin with glittered cardstock and snowflakes for this cutie. The lollipop is done with Stickles.
The last was a gingerbread cookie creation. Pan and cookies are Silhouette patterns.

Marge had shared a pattern to hand cut Santa/Elf hats. I cut them on the road and these are some that Lil put together.

Shhh more tags
Marge had made these and brought them to the meeting last week. The tags were very whimsical and fun! I know she is going to hate putting them on gifts!

Ok so we are stuck on tags atm. The penguins are made from the Stampin Up Owl Builder Punch and were an idea I saw on Pinterest. The snowmen and stockings are dies cut from my Silhouette Machine. I used the knit hat to cut the baseball hat for the little boy snowman. The stockings were "stuffed" with candy and cookie stickers.

Gerber Daisy thank you
These are the thank you cards that I made for my neice. I used Gerber daisies (since that is what she is having in the wedding) and vellum embossed leaves. The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Embossing folder "Julie's Garden". When I found this folder, I loved it...especially since the neice's name was also Julie!

Fall Tags and Cards
It was Margie's turn to come up with a project and she came with a beautiful one...fall themed cards and tags. The birds on the tags are punched with the Stampin'up Bird Builder punch and the fall embossed leaves with the EK Maple Leaf Punch. The cards were background stamped with a maple leaf stamp and Versamark ink. They are embellished with tiny acorns. We came up with a lot of different combinations. I hope you love them as much as we did!

Tags and More Tags
We are really getting into Christmas tags these days. Recently we each made up "kits" for everyone in the group containing everything to make 5-6 of a specific tag. We had a lot of fun putting them together! Some were takeoffs on ones we had seen on Pinterest. Some were our own designs.
