50th Anniversary
Marti whipped up a beautful 50th anniversary card today. Ok so she cut the squares on her Silhouette but at least they were all even! lol Each was embossed differently and then pieced with gold mat. Heart was also cut on Silhouette and embossed. I think it's beautiful!

Sesame Street Tags
I saw this Cookie Monster card idea on Pinterest and knew I had to do it. Since I am in the mood to make tags, I decided to do both Cookie Monster and Elmo child gift tags. Used a 2 1/4" Scalloped Circle punch for outer layers, 1 3/4" circle punch for the inside and mouths(which were cut in half our quarter depending which character they were). The eyes are .75 and .50inch circles which I cut on the Silhouette. Elmo's nose is a large teardrop shape cut from the Silhouette. Inside I stamped "To and From". I punched and cut all of the pieces to make 12 of each, then constructed them in about 2 hours time. They just make me smile and I am sure will bring a smile to the children who get them too!

Beautiful Fast Cards
My daughter needed to whip up some cards so she came over yesterday to put some together. Using some nice designs downloaded and cut with my Silhouette, she made 12 beautiful cards that she can use for various occasions. The sailboat card uses the "Burlap" Tim Holtz embossing folder for the background. The "tropical flowers" embossing folder is by Crafts-Too The ice cream cone background is from the Tim Holtz collection and called "Swirls". Various other embossing folders were used for each layer of ice cream and the cone.

Negative Image
These cards were made out of the negative die cut image from the branches of the previous cards. Love when you can use up the leftovers and they look great!

Scalloped Circle Punched Flowers
This week at our meeting, I experimented with scallop circle punched flowers. I used the 2 1/4" EK Scalloped Circle punch. (the largest we have). After making a cut every two scallops toward the center, you end up with heart shaped petals which you fold in half. I layered two flowers, one solid color and one patterned paper and anchored them together with a brad. Later I decided I wanted a larger center so I punched a small circle to glue there. If I had larger circle brads I think I would have left them in the center. These two cards were finished with those flowers, EK 3 Way Butterfy Punch, the Cuttlebug "Leafy Branch" embossing folder and leafy branches cut with my Silhouette Die Cut Machine. I love the overall effect!

Coloring Cards
I felt like trying out some new tag punches and color combinations today. These are the four embossed cards I came up with. Hot pink and black are "in"so played around with using those colors for both a wedding and birthday card. All four cards have Stamp'nUp stamped images colored with either colored pencils or Tombow markers. I still like coloring and this gives me a chance to do just that!
